dedicated laser micromachining applications
laboratories. These facilities offer
feasibility studies, development work and
sub-contract laser micro machining
(including job shop).
The laser systems can be used for
micromachining, laser drilling, laser
cutting, precision machining, fine cutting,
micro drilling, micro fabrication, laser
ablation, photonics, MEMS, scribing,
etching, laser marking, laser engraving and
milling. Laser micro machining can often be
a more cost-effective alternative to
techniques such as micro EDM.

The laboratories play a vital role in
